Luna, The Witch’s great-great-grand witch, Francine Kemp, will not be summoned in the second season. Karen Ann Martino, who portrays the historic magical fixer, has exited the mystical show.

In season one, Francine is summoned to help Luna (Alexa Hartman) after a spell-gone-wrong. She appeared in all seven episodes.

“Karen was absolutely magical in our first season. We wouldn’t be here without the pixie dust she sprinkled over our series with her talents,” “Luna” Creator Seth Chitwood said. “She is a part of our success. And we will miss her powerful presence on our set,” he added. The series was recently renewed for a second season.

Martino has appeared in a number of Angelwood Pictures productions such as “The Girl in the Attic” and “Testing: The Series.” She is widely-known for her award-winning role as Mother Turner in “Family Problems.”

She also portrayed Demeter in the series “For the Love of Zeus”, Grandma Rosa in Providence Lycium’s “Device” and Anne in “Last Dance with Morty.” She is also featured in Atlas Entertainment’s “American Hustle” with Bradley Cooper.

“It was magical working with Alexa, Wendy, Charlie, and this talented cast and crew,” said Martino. “It makes my job as an actress so easy when you’re working with such talented people. “I can’t wait to see what surprises will await us in season two. I’ll be watching.”
