Angelwood Pictures has tapped long-time "General Hospital" actress Finola Hughes to guest direct two episodes and guest star in their upcoming Christmas TV project, "He'll Be Home for Christmas."
Hughes, who is best known for her iconic roles as Anna Devane on the popular soap operas "General Hospital" and "All My Children," and her portrayal of Laura in the 1983 film "Staying Alive," will bring her talent and experience to this emotional and heartwarming series. She has also won once and been nominated for eleven Daytime Emmy Awards.
She also portrayed Carol on the final season of the NBC sitcom "Blossom." In 1981, she originated the role of Victoria the White Cat in the London production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical "Cats."

Hughes, who has appeared in numerous stage, film, and TV projects, is no stranger to the holiday genre. In addition to her successful career in soap operas, the British actress has also appeared in several holiday films, such as "Christmas Hotel" and "Santa's Boots."
She has previously directed the film "The Bet" and an episode of "Good Trouble." She recently completed the short film "Darling."
Created by Seth Chitwood, and produced by Chitwood and Mark Anthony Hardy, "He'll Be Home for Christmas" follows the story of a father who has passed away, but returns on Christmas Day to be reunited with his family and help them find peace and closure over different Christmas Days.
The six-episode series stars a talented cast including David Lansbury ("Evil"), Pamela Jayne Morgan ("The Holdovers"), Susan Gallagher ("Cobra Kai"), Zack Ignoffo, Mandy Mills, Kimberlee Connors, Courtney Brooks and Michael Dubuc.
The series is set to premiere in November 2024.
