Frank O’Donnell to host 2017 Angelwood Pictures’ Angel Awards

Angelwood Pictures alum’ Frank O’Donnell will host the 2017 Angelwood Pictures’ Angel Awards on June 3.

Frank O’Donnell has been performing and writing comedy for over 30 years, getting his start with a radio team in Providence. He’s since written for folks like Jay Leno, Joe Piscopo and Bob Hope. He’s opened for acts like Chicago, Michael Bolton, David Brenner, Richard Lewis and more. In 2014, he was named Rhode Island’s Best Comedian by readers of The Providence Phoenix. He’s written four plays that have been produced locally to excellent reviews, and has appeared in dozens of plays, including his professional debut as Big Jule in “Guys & Dolls” at the Ocean State Theatre Company. 

He is no stranger to Angelwood Pictures. He appeared as a Detective J. Arlington in Red Circles, plays Moses’ father, Jack, in World’s Worst Director, and guest starred in the series finale of Family Problems as the priest. He wrote an episode of the In The Bedroom series (nominated last year for the 2015 Angel Award) and won the 2015 LA Web Series Award for Best Writing. He is also a nominee this year for Outstanding Guest Actor in Family Problems.

The ceremony is a night of celebrating and honoring the projects, cast, and crew under the production company Angelwood Pictures. Featuring clips from Family Problems, The Girl in the Attic, Testing, Code 13: Unreadable, The Resurrection of Victoria Wheeler, and other upcoming projects. Plus the award presentation and annoucement of winners for the 2017 Angelwood Pictures’ Angel Awards and two special honors.
