Angelwood Pictures’ much-anticipated holiday mini-series, “He’ll Be Home for Christmas”, has cast David Lansbury to play the father.
The series, which will be released in six episodes, follows the story of a family who reunites with their deceased father (Lansbury) on each Christmas Day from 2011 to the present.
Lansbury is known for his roles in “Michael Clayton,” HBO’s OZ, “Scent of a Woman,” “From Other Worlds,” LAW AND ORDER, FRINGE, and as Father Barnaby in Paramount’s “EVIL.” The nephew to Angela Lansbury, he has also appeared on Broadway in “War Horse,” “Hedda Gabler” and “Major Barbara.”
The cast also includes Pamela Jayne Morgan who will portray the family matriarch, Holly Molletti. The children will be played by Eddie Nason and Kimberlee Connor.
The cast also includes Tanja Melendez Lynch, Courtney Brooks and Elsa Hancock-Happ.
Due to the current writer’s strike, the series is scheduled to shoot in the Rhode Island area in mid-October. However, nothing is set in stone.
Created by Seth Chitwood, it will be produced by Chitwood, Mark Anthony Hardy and Tanja Melendez Lynch.
