Tomorrow is the SERIES FINALE of Family Problems. The episode (titled “finish”) will air at 9:00pm EST. After 70 episodes, the series finally comes to a close. Winner of eight LA Web Series Festival Awards, Miami Web Fest and Rhode Island Motif Theater and Film nominations, and voted #1 Best Series on the “Indie Series Network” Poll of the Week sixteen times! It started with a family burying a body in the woods, and ends at a funeral putting a major character to rest.

With the approaching finale, here’s what some of the cast members have to say about the end:

“Being a part of Family Problems for the past three years has been a truly rewarding experience! Mostly grateful for working with such passionate and dedicated people. I have mixed emotions about watching the series come to an end… On the one hand I am so proud of Seth Chitwood and all the work that went into the show, but also a little sad as I thoroughly enjoyed playing the villainous Rebecca Ellison and a piece of me will always belong with the show.” – Wendy Hartman (Rebecca Ellison)

“Family Problems gave me the opportunity to explore a character more than any other project I’ve worked on. When you play a character over an extended period of time he becomes part of you… even someone as evil as Father Hamblin. Although he was a bad person, as an actor, I had the time to find his humanity and bring that to the set so that, hopefully, the audience is left with a soft spot for him but questions why they could feel compassion for someone so evil. Seth Chitwood’s writing and direction afforded me the opportunity to really dig in deeply. For that, I am grateful.” – Tony Ramos Wright (Father Hamblin)

“Working on Family Problems has been a gift that I will forever be grateful for. As a more mature actress, it is uncommon to find roles that are for a powerful character. Having  the opportunity to bring a strong figure like Mother Turner to life was amazing. In addition the need to portray her through so many time periods and phases of her life gave me a vehicle to become a much more versatile actor. I truly believe that working with Seth along with this amazing cast enabled me to accomplish anything that was required of me. In other words I couldn’t have done it without them.” – Karen Ann Martino (Mother Turner)

“For me, working on Family Problems was like working with real family. The whole cast and crew had the same passion for the work. We laughed, we cried, sometimes struggled, but were there for each other and supported each other. An experience I will never forget.” – Lorrie Bacon (D.A. Caroline Kinger)

“Family Problems was the first project I worked on where I played a character in more than a couple of scenes. It was great to work with everyone and be part of the series. I was amazed at Mary Hronicek’s (set designer) work on the space, Karen Martino’s (Mother Turner) warmth and all the other series regulars on set: their dedication and passion. Many thanks to Tony Ramos Wright (Father Hamblin) and Seth Chitwood. With you, I was given the space to explore and test my limits as an actor; to feel appreciated, respected and most of all the freedom to play. You don’t get that often and it’s a treat. I hope to work with all of you again. To Tony and Seth, thank you for everything!” – Zele Avradopoulos (Sandra)

“I was never sure I wanted to be a series regular in an episodic until I worked on Family Problems. For me, it has been an education. A test of what being a part of an ongoing series entails, and it has truly opened my eyes to what direction my acting career will take. I can’t thank Angelwood Pictures enough for that realization.” – Kathryn Shasha (Agent Cable)

“I feel very fortunate to have been cast as Agent Wyatt in the 5th and final season of Family Problems.  Working with the level of talent and professionalism which was present in every aspect of this production was phenomenal!  The director, the cast, the crew, & the police trainers with CPG were all amazing to work with.  Everyone knew their job and did it very efficiently, yet there was also a wonderful relaxed sense of comradery, fun and playfulness on set. It was a fabulous experience for me! Thank you Seth Chitwood for bringing me into ‘the family’!” – Lin Hultgren (Agent Wyatt)

“I am so grateful to have been a part of Family Problems. New England is lucky to have Seth Chitwood!” – Luisa Badaracco (Catherine Hamblin)

“Family Problems was an experience I was blessed to be apart of in my life, and is something I will never forget. As a teen heading off to college, I was struggling with a direction for my life. However. after working on Family Problems it helped me to discover that no matter what direction my life takes, I will always want to be involved in film and television. I want continue to meet people through it, and work with other’s who have a similar passion, just like the amazing people I formed bonds with through Family Problems.” – Sara Piche (Carrie)

“I will forever be grateful to Seth Chitwood for giving me the opportunity to play such an amazing and complex character like Maretto. She was just so imperfect and and multifaceted I thoroughly enjoyed playing her and creating the many relationships she had in the series with such amazing actors to play off of. Hands-down will be one of the characters that will stay with me for a long time.” – Charlie Alejandro (Elena Maretto)

“I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with  Seth Chitwood and this amazingly talented cast of actors. Thank you all for your support over the past few years. It has been a pleasure working with each of you.” – Paula Dellatte (D.A. Cheryl Waller)

“It is with great sadness that I witness the last and final episode of Family Problems. This has been such a wonderful experience working with Seth Chitwood and this talented cast.  When I first got word I had been cast in Family Problems I must admit I was nervous and a bit apprehensive. I had never done anything like this before and was concerned that I would forget my lines or wouldn’t be good enough. Now after a couple of years, I am so thankful to be a part of this creation. The Family Problem’s cast is my new adopted family. I met many new people who were  kind, humble, talented, funny and hard working . We had so much fun and so many laughs off camera. (I look forward to the bloopers!) I am still amazed at the work of Mary Hronicek who created many of the sets needed in empty rooms  in an abandoned office building. Thank you so much Seth for seeing “Penelope”  in “Susan”. This was truly a wonderful experience that I will never forget. I look forward to another opportunity to work with you. In closing, thank you to the many people who followed the series and took the time to vote Family Problems #1 Web Series on so many occasions. We appreciate your support. I hope to be working again soon, but until then…Thank you…Detective Penelope Grant….” – Susan Waletkus (Detective Grant)

Out of their efforts came something truly unique. I learned so much from each and every one of them. To Seth Chitwood and the cast and crew: thank you all so very much. I will never forget working with you. I am certain that your generosity of spirit and talent will continue to shine and take you to new heights as we go forward from this show and head out toward new horizons.” – Natasha Hatalsky (Detective Elliot)
