Last month, Angelwood announced that LUNA, THE WITCH was renewed for a second season. Now, we’re reporting that “Hazed” star and creator, Avery Hatch has joined the cast.
Hatch will play Nova, a series regular and new magical friend to Luna (Alexa Hartman). No other details about her character have been announced.
In addition to “Hazed,” Hatch is known in the Angelwood Pictures world for her role as Lizzie in “The Girl in the Attic.” She received the 2017 Angel Award for Outstanding Youth Performer in the role.
She has also appeared in the film “Luminosity,” “Six Hours,” “Four Single Fathers,” and the short film “Michael Archangel.” She is currently attending the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles.
Aside from Hartman, Wendy Hartman and Charlie Tacker are the only other cast members confirmed to return for the second season.
Additionally, Showrunner Seth Chitwood announced that he would not be returning as the director. American Film Institute alum, Paige Compton, will direct the second season.
Seng2KX will also not be returning as the cinematographer, instead, Christina Hickey will serve as director of photography.
The story will pick up the same night after events that took place at the Halloween dance. Angelwood Pictures has set an October 30 premiere date.
