WILLY

Age: 18–21

Film studies cinematographer longing to direct, but stuck operating the camera. Undermines the set by filming what he wants and cutting randomly. Brings a rebellious, chaotic energy and struggles to work well with others. Attitude is key—bring snark and mischief.

 

MIMI

Age: 18–21

Writer-turned-assistant director, also assistant to Toby. Endlessly patient, often insulted and walked over, but she tolerates it because she loves the energy of a film set. Needs an actor with warmth, resilience, and great comedic timing for deadpan insults.

 

KELLY

Age: 18–21

Aspiring producer and crisis manager of the set. Juggles chaos, keeps the production moving toward the deadline, and puts out all fires with practicality and calm. 

 

PHILLIP

Age: 35–45

Seasoned actor who was blacklisted years ago by Moses and seeks revenge, though he hasn’t yet acted on his grudge. Wounded yet scheming; needs to convey bitterness, desperation, and simmering anger beneath a professional actor’s mask.
